It would be Canadian Tire Motorsport Park that would host the opening round of the Flat Sixes support series where an ultra-competitive and closely matched field were ready to do battle around the undulating and technical circuit. Qualifying saw Cam land himself 4th on the grid for race 1 where a good launch had him sitting on the tail of the leaders biding his time and on for a podium finish however disaster struck mid-way through where Cam was left with nowhere to go due to the leaders coming together and had to take to the grass which dropped him down the order and recover to a P6 finish in what should have been a comfortable podium finish for race 1.
Race 2 sadly did not see Cam fare any better after being taken out at T1 leaving him to recover from the tail end of the field and while he looked like he may recover to a top 10 or top 5 finish thanks to a brief safety car period, another incident ahead off the restart left him with nowhere to go and as a result heavily damaged and coming home in a less than ideal 15th place.
Round 2 of the Flat Sixes takes place Interlagos on the 16th of April where Cam will hope for a better round and use his strong pace to recover lost points.
